Saturday's match was one for the history books.
Flash Gordon's brace led the Quakes to an unforgettable win over rival the LA Galaxy. Watch his incredible stoppage time game winner paired with the call from Anthony Passarelli at KLIV radio:

But Q's just glad he doesn't have to worry about another run-in with Beckham this year...

A historic rivalry is something that anyone can get behind. Combine that rivalry with beating LA, and most of Northern California will stick by your side.
Thanks to our Bay Area athlete friends for the support - we can't wait to see you at the California Clasico. #BeatLA!

Our GIF(t) to D.C. United could have been a combination of all things Lenny - his brace last year or his hattrick the year before that - but we decided to go the historical route for our friends in the nation's capital.
Our fans under the age of 17 won't remember the first goal in MLS history, so we'll lay it out for our millenials in a way they'll understand:
San Jose vs. D.C. at Spartan Stadium, April 6, 1996 - San Jose defeats D.C. 1-0, courtesy of Eric Wynalda.
You're welcome for the history lesson, D.C. See you this weekend.
We visited the new stadium construction site with Quakes prez Dave Kaval the other day, and it turns out there is a lot more excavating to be done than we originally thought. Just check out the photos below.
The old FMC building foundation wall:
One of three concrete bunkers found on the site. It wasn't an easy task for the construction crew to rip these suckers out.
The trouble with digging below the water line. You run into water. A lot of it.
Kaval inspecting the ground water:
Get a first hand look at these giant concrete pillars (at least 100 of them) found on site. Check out Kaval's vine.
These giant metal objects weren't easy to pull out of the ground either:
One thing is certain - we have some great Quakes dads out there.
We know it was a hard choice, but Wondo has chosen his winner to his Father's Day contest. Congrats to Raymund Arcibal! Take a look at all of the entries below. And don't worry, you still have a chance to take Dad to #CaliClasico (TICKETS).
