Wondo's warm welcome back included fans waiting around SFO for his arrival. We sure did miss this guy (and baby Emersyn, too).
Alright, Quakes fans - on the eve of the 2014 California Clasico, we can't help but think of our time at Stanford Stadium last year. You all remember it, that stoppage time goal by Gordo that left us celebrating until we couldn't scream anymore.
We thought we'd relive that moment through your creative captions! Put your witty-ness to the test with this fantastic goal that left Gonzalez and the rest of the Galaxy stunned (or is he smiling?).
Leave your caption on this blog post to enter to win four tickets to Quakes vs. Galaxy at Stanford Stadium tomorrow. We'll choose the winner by 4 p.m. PT today.
And tell your friends tickets are still available to this match of the summer! Let's pack the place and #BeatLA.
UPDATE: Congrats to John Muskivitch - for his simple, yet awesome comment "Air Gordon!" He's won 4 tickets to Saturday's Quakes vs. Galaxy at Stanford Stadium.
1. Massive style points to Bernardez and Los Catrachos - those blazers are sliiiick.
2. The World Cup starts in 2 days. TWO DAYS.
Proven goal-scoring machine and now Cosmopolitan Magazine eye-candy? Hey, Chris Wondolowski can do it all.
The Danville native and U.S. Men’s National Team forward graced the latest issue of Cosmo with other USMNT and MLS stars Graham Zusi, Matt Besler, Omar Gonzalez and Kyle Beckerman. The five posed for the magazine’s feature on the World Cup, highlighting the best styles to wear while you watch. While the four were shirtless, of course – I mean, this is Cosmo were talking about – they did rock their World Cup style, donning the USMNT new World Cup kit’s shorts and socks.
Wondo wasn’t only featured shirtless this week, either. You can the Quakes striker in Rolling Stone's latest USMNT interview. Wondo talks his great affinity for all kinds of pizza, Jay-Z, his deep superstitions and more. Be sure to check out the full article here.
With only 4 days until the World Cup begins, the buzz is alive and well. Join the Quakes at our first official World Cup viewing party on Saturday in St. James Park.
Portuguese star Yannick Djalo will be hanging out at Wells Fargo in Santa Clara on Saturday, and it's your chance to meet him!
He'll be at the Wells Fargo located at 1995 El Camino Real from 3-4:30 p.m. Along with getting Yannick's autograph and photo, you'll be able redeem your two FREE ticket vouchers to the 2014 California Clasico at Stanford on June 28. All you have to do is open a checking accout or receive a financial review.
Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us. See you at Wells Fargo on Saturday!

It's easy to enter - from now until June 7, at halftime of each match, @SJEarthquakes on Twitter will ask for your Quakes #PepBoysSub that will make an impact in the second half. All you have to do is answer with the last name and the hashtag #PepBoysSub to automatically be entered to win.

In honor of our 40th Anniversary match versus FC Dallas on Saturday and our Hall of Fame induction of Johnny Moore, we're teaming up with Gordon Biersch to give away a throwback Moore t-shirt.
The shirt, which features our original jersey and Moore's No. 8, will be given away to 2500 fans in attendance of Saturday's match.
Additionally, a throwback shirt will be available for purchase at the game.
The shirt is a replica of the Quakes training jersey which, coincidentally, is what the team wore in their first-ever match in club history because their jerseys weren't ready in time.
You won't want to miss this one-time chance to rock some vintage Quakes gear. Buy your ticket today and arrive early!
Happy Earth Day, Quakes fans!
In the spirit of Unity and keeping it clean, we will officially be celebrating Earth Day on Saturday at Buck Shaw when we face Chivas USA.
With the help of match-presenting sponsor County of Santa Clara Household Hazardous Waste Program, the Earthquakes will have many green activations for fans to enjoy at the game. Our Epicenter will be full of "green" vendors, including the San Jose Conservation Corp who will be supplying bins for recycling, landfill and compost throughout the stadium, Santa Clara Hazardous Waste Program and Edible Silicon Valley. We'll even have face-painters who will be painting good ole' Mother Earth on whoever wants it.
Our official coin toss will be done by the Green Hero, brought to us by the City of San Jose Environmental Services, and Earth Day Facts and Tips will appear on the videoboard for all fans to enjoy throughout the match.
And - rumor has it - our mascot Q will have an Earth Day themed hairdo for the celebration as well. Could green hair be making a comeback?
You'll have to be there to find out. See you on Saturday!
