We're feeling very thankful now that we're turning 40, and there is no one more that we want to reward than you. 

Thursday's 40th Anniversary Celebration and Logo Unveil marks a new chapter of Earthquakes soccer. We have a lot of special activities planned for you - including a special presentation, live music from The Old Firm Casuals and The Forgotten, player autographs, photo booth, food and drink specials, player Q&A session and a whole lot more. 

We need your help though. What would you ask a current or past Earthquake? Tweet your questions using the hashtag #Quakes74, and you will be automatically entered to win a 2014 jersey. Plus, your question could be answered during the Q&A sessions with current and alumni Earthquakes.

The San Jose Earthquakes reported to camp over the weekend for team physicals and fitness testing. They’ll be at the field today to begin ball work and continue their preparation ahead of the team’s first preseason trip in Tucson next week.

Keep an eye out for coverage from a number of local media outlets. KGO-TV and Comcast SportsNet will each be at training today as well as reporters from the Mercury News,, and Also, rookie midfielder JJ Koval will be on KRON4 News with Gary Radnich tonight at 6:40 p.m. PT.

Quakes prez Dave Kaval sat down with Sports Illustrated's Brian Straus for an exclusive interview on our new stadium progress and the reunification of the Earthquakes.

Was there ever any doubt? From his Vines of new stadium construction updates to a very active Twitter account, Dave Kaval was already in the running for most tech-savvy Prez in the business. 

Add Google Glass to the mix, and he brings his game to whole new level. 

His coverage of the 2014 #SuperDraft gave fans an all-access pass with videos and photos from the Earthquakes draft table.

Congratulations to Quakes U14 Pre-Academy players Marco Campos and J.J. Foe Nuphaus for being selected to participate in the 2014 id2 National Selection International Tour to Italy, which will be held February 27 – March 10. 


The id2 National Selection will consist of 18 male players born in 2000, chosen from all participants in 2013 id2 Program cycle. With the training grounds and stadiums of some of Italy’s top professional clubs as a setting, the team will have the opportunity to train and compete against youth academies from well-known professional clubs , and attend professional games.

Beyond the chance to be immersed in a professional soccer environment and showcase their abilities to the international soccer community, the tour offers players the unique educational and cultural experience of life in a foreign country.

The tour is at no cost to players, except for personal passport-related expenses, etc. US Club Soccer and Nike will fund the tour, including airfare, lodging and meals, and provide a comprehensive training and competition package.

There will be a Quakes presence in the World Futsal Cup this year, as Sebastian Flores and Jota Yamaguchi will be in Spain participating in the 2013 World Futsal Cup in Barcelona from December 29-30. Flores and Yamaguchi will travel with Legends Futsal of San Jose and will be competing against teams from Spain, Italy and Netherlands. Some of the confirmed teams participating in the tournament include FC Barcelona (ES), PARQUE LISBOA (ES), Alter Ego Luparense  (IT) and FC Marlene (NL).
