Our ancestors were hunter-gatherers, roaming the earth foraging for nuts, berries and all kinds of weird animal meat that did nothing for their life expectancy rate.

Get your inner hunter-gatherer (minus the loin cloths and facial hair) on today and win big. Keep your eyes glued to @SJEarthquakes Twitter account beginning at 3:30 p.m. for hints that will lead you to the ultimate prize of four tickets to the San Jose Earthquakes vs. LA Galaxy game on June 29 at Standford Stadium.

Hints will be tweeted every 30 minutes until 7 p.m.  The clues will lead you to a location in the Bay Area where four tickets to #CaliClasico will be waiting for you.

Get out there and start hunting!

In this week's Anatomy of a Goal, MLS Digital editor-in-chief Greg Lalas takes a deeper look at Lenhart's goal against the Colorado Rapids, including the build-up by fellow bash brother Alan Gordon.

Should we start calling Lenny The Roadrunner? Sure looks like it.

We visited the new stadium construction site with Quakes prez Dave Kaval the other day, and it turns out there is a lot more excavating to be done than we originally thought. Just check out the photos below.

The old FMC building foundation wall:

One of three concrete bunkers found on the site. It wasn't an easy task for the construction crew to rip these suckers out.

The trouble with digging below the water line. You run into water. A lot of it.

Kaval inspecting the ground water:

Get a first hand look at these giant concrete pillars (at least 100 of them) found on site. Check out Kaval's vine

These giant metal objects weren't easy to pull out of the ground either:

Kendall McIntosh, former Earthquakes Academy player and current Santa Clara University goalkeeper, is in Turkey competing with the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team in the U-20 World Cup. McIntosh sends sjearthquakes.com photos and updates from his journey:

June 18, 2013

After a good week and a half of training in Portugal, we ended our trip on a high note with a 3-1 win over the Portugese U-20s. We arrived in Turkey yesterday night - it took a while to get through customs and to find our way to our bus.

After a good night's rest, we had an early breakfast and a team walk to get prepared for the day. One of the bigger events we had today was a meeting with the FIFA representatives so that they could explain their rules and expectations for the tournament.

Finally towards the end of the day we had training at Kasimpasa Spor Kulübü, a first division club in Turkey.

Stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to follow Kendall McIntosh on Twitter

Quakes fans have a reason to have a little extra pep in their step this week following Saturday’s 2-1 win over the Colorado Rapids.  It’s the beginning of a new era under Mark Watson and with three points in the bag, things appear to be looking up.

The Quakes showed you love on Saturday by putting on a good show and bringing home a win, now return the favor by voting for them for a plethora of honors.

Tonight’s U.S. vs. Honduras World Cup Qualifier is a must-watch for fans of both nations.  The U.S. has the upper hand in this one as they sit pretty in first place in the CONCACAF Hex. They’re on a bit of a hot streak, having won their previous three matches. The U.S. will also have a coveted home field advantage and are expecting a packed crowd at Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City.

Honduras sits in fourth place in the Hex and are missing key players due to injury.  Regardless, the Catarachos are not to be ruled out- the last time the two sides met, Honduras handed the U.S. an ugly 2-1 loss in February. Honduras is also the last nation to beat the U.S. at home- defeating them 3-2 back in September of 2001.

Honduras features two Quakes players, midfielder Marvin Chavez and defender Victor Bernardez. Look for Chaves to clock some minutes for Los Catarachos but Bernardez will be sitting this one out due to yellow card accumulation.

Kickoff is at 6 p.m. PT.  Catch the game on ESPN or UniMas or head to one of the Quakes Preferred Pub Sponsors
