2012 Earthquakes Open Tryout

The San Jose Earthquakes will host an open tryout on Sunday, Jan. 22 at Danville's Mustang Soccer Complex for males age 18 or older.

The tryout will be broken down into three heats between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each heat will last 90 minutes with players getting two opportunities to play in a 30-minute scrimmage in front of the Earthquakes’ technical staff. The best 11-14 players will be selected to play a game against the club's top Youth Development Academy team for a second audition on a date to be determined.

A maximum of 175 participants will be allowed to try out. In order to sign up, players must be 18 years or older and out of high school. In addition to the tryout, each participant will receive a ticket voucher to see the Earthquakes’ 2012 home opener on March 10 at Buck Shaw Stadium as well as an adidas training top.

The cost is $80 per person. Each participant must show proof of identification and sign a waiver form on the day of the tryout. For more information about the tryout, contact the Earthquakes Front Office at 408-556-7700.
