ANIMALS: The only animals allowed in the stadium are certified service animals. Service animals in training will not be permitted to enter the stadium unless authorized by the San Jose Earthquakes prior to the day of game.

ATM’s:There are two ATM’s located inside Buck Shaw Stadium. One in the North and the other in the South end of the stadium, both near the concession stands.

BAGS AND BACKPACKS: Guests may not bring hard containers or coolers into Buck Shaw Stadium. No bags larger then 16 in. x 16 in. x 8 in will be allowed into the stadium. All bags are subject to open visual search by event security. Security measures may be increased based on direction from Major League Soccer, the Santa Clara Police Department, or City, County, State or Federal agencies. These procedures will include but are not limited to a more thorough search of persons and property as well as pat downs.

Guests are not permitted to stand in the aisles or walkways, or obstruct others from viewing the game while taking photographs. Photographic support tools (such as tripods, professional lenses-longer than 8 in., etc.) are not permitted into the stadium.

FAN CODE OF CONDUCT: The San Jose Earthquakes and Major League Soccer are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable soccer experience for all guests in and around our stadiums. MLS fans have a right to expect an environment where:

  • Fans are encouraged to cheer, sing, and otherwise support their team while remaining respectful and courteous to their fellow patrons, referees, opposing team fans and players.
  • Fans enjoy the soccer experience free from fighting, thrown objects, attempts to enter the playing field, political or inciting messages, and disorderly behavior, including foul, sexist, racial, obscene or abusive language or gestures.
  • Fans comply with requests from stadium staff regarding stadium operations and emergency response procedures.
  • Fans promptly and carefully return the ball to a stadium staff member or the ball kid on the sidelines in the event that a soccer ball enters the stands.
  • Alcoholic beverages are consumed in a responsible manner and only by those of legal age.
  • Fans conduct themselves in a lawful manner to avoid incidents in the stadium and in the parking lots.
  • Fans comply with requests from stadium staff regarding stadium policies and emergency response procedures.
  • Fans are asked to promptly and carefully return the ball to a stadium staff member or the ball kid on the sidelines in the event that a soccer ball enters the stands.
  • Fans are encouraged to cheer, sing, and otherwise support their team while remaining respectful and courteous to their fellow patrons, referees, opposing team fans and players.

FANS WILL REFRAIN FROM THE FOLLOWING ACTS:

  • Any action that causes a disruption, creates an unsafe environment, interferes with the game, or hinders the enjoyment of the game for others, including entering the visitor’s section.
  • Mistreatment of visiting team fans, including verbal abuse, harassment, confrontations, intimidation, or threatening behavior.
  • Fighting, taunting, or engaging in any action that may harm, endanger, threaten, or bring discomfort to anyone in the stadium.
  • Possession or use of any illegal drugs or irresponsible use of alcohol.
  • Damage, destruction, vandalism, or theft of any property.
  • Thrown objects, attempts to enter the playing field, political or inclining messages, and disorderly behavior.
  • Any use of profanity or foul language, both written and verbal, towards the home team, the away team, referees and staff.

FIELD ACCESS: Only authorized personnel with proper credentials will be permitted onto the field before, during or after San Jose Earthquakes matches. Any unauthorized person going onto the field will be removed and subject to arrest and loss of San Jose Earthquakes ticket privileges.

FIRST-AID STATIONS: First-aid is located in the North and South ends of the field at Buck Shaw Stadium. In the case of an emergency, please notify the nearest Guest Services representative for assistance and directions to the first-aid stations. Buck Shaw Stadium does NOT have Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) onsite.

GATE OPENING TIMES:All gates for Buck Shaw Stadium will open 2 hours before scheduled kick-off time. See below for more information:

  • For 1:00 p.m. games: All gates open at 11:00 a.m.
  • For 7:30 p.m. games: All gates open at 5:30 p.m.
  • For the Wednesday, July 20 game: All gates open at 6:00 p.m.

GUEST SERVICES BOOTH: The Guest Services booth will be located on the North end of the stadium inside Gate A. Guest Services can assist you and questions or concerns that you may have. They will also assist with lost guests or items.

LOST AND FOUND: Any item that is lost during an Earthquakes event at Buck Shaw Stadium will be turned into Guest Services and held there for the duration of the game.

MERCHANDISE: There are two merchandise locations at Buck Shaw Stadium. They are located inside Gate A on the North end and on South end.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Please submit a 90-second or under DVD or CD recording of your vocal acapella version of the National Anthem. Three letters of recommendations from entertainment managers, music instructors, or past clients you have entertained, your contact information and a one-page summary of your vocal background and musical experience.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE:One clear, plastic, factory-sealed, water bottle per person is permitted. All other outside food and beverage is prohibited at Buck Shaw Stadium. However, special exceptions for small children or individuals with specific food allergies may be allowed with prior approval from the San Jose Earthquakes.   • Weapons of any kind
  • Incendiary devices (i.e. fireworks, smoke bombs, flares, etc.) per Health and Safety Code 12677 and punishable by a fine up to $1000, 6 months in jail, or both).
  • Illegal substances, drugs, or chemicals of any kind
  • Backpacks and large bags that exceed 16" x 16" x 8"
  • Umbrellas
  • Poles and/or staffs, of any kind to including but not limited to metal, plastic, or wood (except in designated supporters sections)
  • Drums (except in designated supporters sections and approved by Stadium Operations)
  • Horns of any kind
  • Whistles
  • Streamers
  • Frisbees or inflated balls of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Food and beverage or metal, plastic or glass containers brought in from outside the stadium (except for 1 water bottle per person)
  • Bicycles
  • Aerosol cans (i.e. hairspray, silly string, etc.)
  • Smoking
  • Animals (except approved service dogs)
  • Any items deemed by management to be inappropriate, offensive, or potentially hazardous

RE-ENTRY POLICY: There are no re-entry privileges at Buck Shaw Stadium. However, in the event of an emergency, guests should contact a gate supervisor, who will permit a guest to re-enter the stadium at the same gate. Guests who leave the stadium at any time, without authorization of a gate supervisor, will not be permitted to re-enter.

SECTION 109 BILL OF RIGHTS: As loyal fans of the San Jose Earthquakes, we thank you for the support and dedication you continue to show for our team. We want to make sure you know your rights as a supporter:

  • Supporters are entitled to a 40% discount off the general ticket price with their season ticket package.
  • Supporters are given dedicated entrance to Buck Shaw Stadium through Gate B to facilitate the entry and departure of Section 109.
  • Supporters are permitted to store items in the Earthquakes' storage containers to ease their usage and transportation of game day tifo
  • Supporters are entitled to away game liaisons to acquire tickets in Earthquakes sections when traveling to support the team.
  • Supporters are allowed to stand for the full 90 minutes. There will be signs that state that section 109 is standing room only.
  • Supporters have the privilege to use confetti, flags, banners, and drums. There is a two drum limit per group. They are exempt from the restriction of these aforementioned items listed in the Fan Code of Conduct for Buck Shaw Stadium
  • Supporters have the right to cheer, sing and otherwise support the team while remaining respectful and courteous to all fans, staff, players and referees. Those that do breach the general stadium rules are subject to ejection, expulsion or banishment.

SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited at Buck Shaw Stadium and on the campus of Santa Clara University. Offenders will be ejected from the stadium grounds.

SUPPORTER'S SECTION AND FAMILY ZONE: The San Jose Earthquakes have designated separate areas for Supporter's and Families. Fans sitting in the Supporter's Section (108 & 109) should expect to stand up for the full 90 minutes and may experience profane language. If fans have children with them, the Family Zone is located in Section 101 on the opposite end of the stadium from the Supporter's Section.

WILL CALL: Will call at Buck Shaw Stadium is located outside Gate A. Will call will open up at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled kick-off. A picture ID is required for all ticket pick-ups.
