Quakes Trade Amarikwa to Colorado

The Quakes received a second-round SuperDraft pick in 2012 for back-up forward Quincy Amarikwa

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that they have acquired a second round pick in the 2012 Major League Soccer SuperDraft from the Colorado Rapids in exchange for forward Quincy Amarikwa.

Amarikwa was originally selected in the third round of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft from UC Davis. He appeared in 24 games as a rookie in 2009 and scored one goal and notched two assists.
