There was no movement over the weekend, but the race for the Eastern Conference crown grew tighter and the Wild Card standings saw several surprise results.

At the top of the MLS Cup Playoff table, the Los Angeles Galaxy asserted themselves as top dogs with a convincing 3-1 road win over the Columbus Crew. With five of their six remaining regular-season matches at home, the Galaxy are a clear favorite to keep the top seed in the West.
