Ramiro Corrales continued his road to recovery while playing through a full-field 11-on-11 scrimmage at the Nutrilite Training Facility on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old left back looked his old self, maneuvering through several tight situations with a nifty array of tricks - including his trademark cut back. Corrales has been on the mend since suffering a sprained MCL at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in a 2-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids on August 7.

"My knee's feeling pretty good. I can't kick a long ball yet, but it's getting more stable and I'm just happy to be back out here," Corrales said.

Bobby Convey and Tim Ward have filled in at left back in Corrales' absence. Over that span, San Jose has produced a 4-1-1 record with four clean sheets, a testament to the Quakes depth.

Despite the positive news with Corrales back to scrimmaging, Quakes fans shouldn't expect Captain Corrales back in the lineup for at least another 2-3 weeks.

SCRIMMAGE RECAP
The Quakes pieced together a full 11-on-11 scrimmage with nothing but San Jose personnel on the pitch.

Ryan Johnson opened the scoring with a left-footed finish on a 1-v-1 opportunity after a giveaway in the back.

Scott Sealy scored a brace in the second half. Omar Jasseh assisted on the first after beating three players down the sideline and into the box before laying a pass to Sealy in front of the net. Sealy calmly placed a shot toward the far post for the equalizer.

The next strike came after Sealy took possession in a crowded box. He turned and lofted a shot to the far corner that arched out of Jon Busch's reach, but just below the crossbar.

TRAVEL SCHEDULE
San Jose will take an extra day of travel this week for the lengthy flight to Toronto. The Quakes will go through a final practice in San Jose on Wednesday before boarding a plane on Thursday. Saturday's match will kickoff at 1 p.m. PT on MLS Direct Kick.
