Ike Opara's 120th-minute goal sent the San Jose Earthquakes past the Portland Timbers in U.S. Open Cup qualifying Tuesday night at JELD-WEN Field. The Earthquakes will host the Chicago Fire in late May for a berth in the 40-team U.S. Open Cup field.
