World Football Challenge: Manchester City vs. Club América
Manchester City and Club América will play a friendly at AT&T Park on Saturday, July 16 as part of the Herbalife World Football Challenge. The San Jose Earthquakes have teamed up with the event to offer a special two-pack ticket offer that will go on sale Thursday, June 2 at 11 a.m. PT.
Individual tickets will not go on sale to the general public until June 16 so fans should make sure to secure a two-pack to guarantee a seat at AT&T Park. The pack will include tickets to both the World Football Challenge and a future Earthquakes game, either the July 2 Fireworks Night against the New York Red Bulls at Stanford Stadium or San Jose's July 12 friendly against West Brom.
Manchester City finished third in the English Premier League with 71 points. Led by Argentinian sensation Carlos Tévez and a host of English talents in Shaun Wright-Phillips, James Milner, Wayne Bridge and Joleon Lescott, the Blues advanced to UEFA Champions League qualifying for the first time in club history. Manchester City also took home the FA Cup in what was a landmark season.
Club América is second in their group of the Primera de México. Mexican National Teamer Angel Reyna Martinez leads the squad and league with 13 goals in 17 games.
Check back on SJEarthquakes.com on Thursday to take advantage of this exclusive ticket offer for one of the summer's premier soccer events.
