Quakes to host 2012 Corporate Cup
SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes 2012 Corporate Cup will kick off on Saturday, July 28 at 8:30 a.m. PT at the club's training facility in San Jose, Calif. Teams from across the Bay Area including Sony Entertainment, Visa, Cisco Systems, Zynga, Playdom, Vocera, Infenion and more will compete in the 3rd Annual Corporate Cup. The tournament is divided into three different divisions for bragging rights in the Silicon Valley’s premier corporate soccer tournament.
Each team is guaranteed three games in group play before the knockout stage of the tournament begins. The champion in each division will win a trophy also there will be a Golden Boot award given to the individual who scores the most goals in each division. Team’s registration fees were accepted as donations to the San Jose Earthquakes Community Fund. The event will also feature free sampling from Gordon Biersch and food courtesy of Cosmo Catering.
