LA Galaxy Scouting Report
The LA Galaxy (7-6-3, 21 pts.) are fourth in the Western Conference. They are coming off of a 1-0 win in the SuperClasico against rival Chivas USA thanks to a goal from rookie forward Gyasi Zardes. The Galaxy are led by Designated Players Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane. Keane tops their scoring charts with five goals and four assists while Donovan joins Brazilian Marcelo Sarvas for the team lead in assists with four.  After a relatively slow start to the season for the reigning MLS Cup champions, the Galaxy have made several mid-season trades – sending leading-scorer Mike Magee to Chicago for the right of first refusal to winger Robbie Rogers, and later acquiring the veteran midfielder Pablo Mastroeni and the right of first refusal to midfielder Baggio Husidic from the Colorado Rapids in exchange for an international roster spot and a second-round pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. Mastroeni played under current Galaxy head-coach Bruce Arena on the United States national team at the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.

Epicenter

This year’s California Clasico Epicenter will encompass a wide range of activities for fans to participate in before kickoff. The Epicenter will include face painting, poster making and paint by numbers booth sponsored by Benjamin Moore. A photo booth presented by State Farm will also be located in the Epicenter. The Quakes will have their Mobile Stadium Preview Center on hand for fans to take a virtual tour of the Quakes new home.

Community

This year, Jon Busch has donated a pair of game worn cleats and gloves to be auctioned on e-Bay. The game will also include a Saves for Seals Supporters Section. Fans in this section will get the chance to meet and get autographs from Busch as well as watch the firework extravaganza with the Quakes goalkeeper. All proceeds from both supporters section and the e-Bay auction will benefit the NAVY Seal Foundation.

The Earthquakes also donated tickets to several community partners including, Building Futures Now, Travis Air Force Base, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and Kick Lead and Dream Camp.
