Quakes Introduce Win Pins for 2010 Season

Win Pins

The San Jose Earthquakes announced today the introduction of the Win Pin. The Win Pins will be distributed after every home win as fans exit Buck Shaw Stadium.

“During the offseason we thought about new ways to continue to improve the fan experience at our games and the Win Pin was at the top of our list,” said Senior Director of Broadcast, Communications and Marketing Jed Mettee. “We believe that our fans are critical to our success at home and now every fan gets rewarded for being a part one of the best home-field advantages in the league.”

After the first home win, fans will receive a 1.0 pin, based on the Richter scale. Following each subsequent win, the pin’s number will match the number of the team’s total home wins. Fans can then take the pin to participating restaurants for a special discount.

The Win Pin promotion kicks off this week at the home opener on Saturday, March 27 at 6 p.m. PT against Real Salt Lake in the event of a win. The participating restaurant for the first home win is Mondo Burrito in Santa Clara. All fans in attendance should look for the Shakers Squad and Earthquakes front office staff at the exits to collect their Win Pins.

The pins will provide a discount at one of the seven participating local restaurants coinciding with each specific win. The restaurants are as follows; Santa Clara’s Mondo Burrito (3300 The Alameda), SmokeEaters (2565 The Alameda), Togo’s (1000 Lafayette), Quiznos (495 El Camino Real), Mio Vicino (1290 Benton), all three Tony and Alba’s Pizza and Pasta locations (two in San Jose and one in Mountain View) and San Jose’s Habana Cuba (238 Race Street).

The San Jose Earthquakes have significantly reduced season ticket prices for the 2010 Major League Soccer season. Season tickets start as low as $204. Season ticket prices have been reduced in all sections; Premier Midfield will now be $40 per game ($50 in 2009), Center Circle $30 per game ($35 in 2009), Sideline $20 per game ($30 in 2009), Goal View $15 per game ($20 in 2009) and Supporters Section $12 per game ($18 in 2009).
