The Quakes held their first Youth Academy evaluations on Sunday April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Danville, Calif., drawing just over 120 boys in the first-ever tryout for the newest branch of San Jose Soccer.

"It was great to see such a good collection of talent in one place at one time from across Northern California," said Academy Director Fred Wilson. "It is a great step forward into selecting the best and most capable players for the youth academy program."

San Jose will continue to hold evaluations over the next few weeks as the Quakes Youth Academy staff continues to identify the best talent in Northern California.
