Chris Wondolowski came off the bench for the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday against Chivas USA and promptly notched a hat trick.
Those three goals tied the Quakes' top scorer with LA Galaxy striker Edson Buddle for the lead in the Golden Boot race. Both players have struck 17 times for their teams this season.
