The San Jose Earthquakes made significant headway in furthering its bond with club partner Tottenham Hotspur in 2010.

After visiting Spurs headquarters in London during a 10-day trip across the pond in March, the Quakes invited their club partners to California for a match at Buck Shaw Stadium. To the delight of all soccer fans in the Bay Area, Tottenham Hotspur dropped by Silicon Valley for a week of training and a nationally televised friendly.

The names included Robbie Keane, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Harry Rednapp. Over 1,000 fans flocked to the Nutrilite Training Facility for a midweek open practice and the match, a scoreless draw, attracted a sellout crowd.

On the business side, delegations from the San Jose Earthquakes, Tottenham Hotspur, South China FC, Internacional and Supersport United held a summit meeting to strengthen the partnership between clubs.

For fans and members of the Front Office alike, Tottenham Hotspur's visit to San Jose was an outright success.
