Khari Stephenson Goal Celebration vs. Houston Dynamo

The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that they have declined their options on forwards Geovanni, Eduardo and Cornell Glen. The three forwards will not be available in the MLS Re-Entry Draft and will not return to San Jose in 2011. Midfielder Khari Stephenson also had his option declined and will be entered in the first stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft on Wednesday, Dec. 8. As part of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, MLS players who meet certain criteria are eligible to be made available to all teams through the Re-Entry Process after their contract status has been determined by their current club.

If a player is not selected in either stage of the Re-Entry Process, that player will be available on a first come, first served basis to all clubs.
