Louisville is trying to become the first undefeated NCAA men's soccer title winner since Santa Clara accomplished that feat in 1989 when the Broncos were crowned co-champions with Virginia. The Cardinals have never won the College Cup.

Talent-laden Akron are trying to become the first mid-major to win the title since UC Santa Barbara did so in 2006. The Zips boast a bevy of future MLS talent, including combine invitees Christopher Korb and Anthony Ampaipitakwong.
