Mexico match in Oakland vs. Paraguay sold out

Mexico will kick off their 2011 US tour and new World Cup cycle in Atlanta in February..

NEW YORK – The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is sold out for the March 26 match (2 p.m. PT) between the national teams of Mexico and Paraguay, presented by Wrigley’s Extra® gum, organizers announced today. More than 48,000 fans are expected at the stadium, in the second stop of El Tri’s 2011 U.S. Tour.

Fans attending the game in Oakland are urged to arrive at the stadium early to avoid traffic and long waits, and enjoy Fútbol Fiesta, an interactive fan zone of more 120,000 sq. ft. featuring live entertainment, autograph sessions by legendary Mexican players, sponsor booths and giveaways. Fútbol Fiesta will open at 10 a.m. local time at Lot A.

Mexico kicked-off its 2011 U.S. Tour in front of more than 50,000 fans on Feb. 9 with a 2-0 win against Bosnia-Herzegovina at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome. The third stop for El Tri will be on March 29 in San Diego where Mexico will face Venezuela at Qualcomm Stadium.
