SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has partnered with 7up Bottling Company of San Francisco, a division of the Dr. Pepper Snapple group, and with Farmers Insurance.

“This type of new business partnership really shows the value that the Earthquakes organization can bring to other companies,” said Earthquakes President David Kaval. “The 7up Bottling Company is one that has a large reach with all of their successful brands of soft drinks, and Farmers Insurance has been providing coverage to people all over the United States for almost a century, so we are happy to become partners with both of them.

As part of the partnership with the soft drink organization, the 7up Bottling Company’s beverages, including Snapple, carbonated soda and Deja Blue Water, will be sold at all Earthquakes home games. They will also receive other serving rights, such as the placement of a beverage sampling and booth display inside Buck Shaw Stadium. Additionally, they will be a part of the Epicenter Fan Zone on select home games.

The Earthquakes and 7up Bottling Company will also work together on one title night, which will feature an A&W Root Beer float day to benefit a local charity. During the event, Earthquakes players, local celebrities and staff will scoop the ice cream and pour the root beer for fans.

The 7up Bottling Company also receives the right to use the Earthquakes trademark throughout the Bay Area and will be able to create in-store promotions featuring enter-to-win prizes such as signed jerseys or on-field seats.

“We look forward to a long, consistent partnership with the San Jose Earthquakes,” said 7up Bottling Company Northwest Region Cold Drink Manager Sky Pace. “We feel that the Earthquakes will continue to be a leading MLS team and together we will grow their fan base, interest for soccer as a whole and love for the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Family of brands.”

Farmers Insurance will similarly receive the right to use the Earthquakes marks throughout the Bay Area. As part of this select partnership, Farmers’ advertising signage will be clearly displayed throughout Buck Shaw Stadium and they will further receive advertising spots during all 34 Spanish radio broadcasts and in Free Kick Magazine, the Earthquakes game program.

The insurance agency will also enjoy one title night, which will feature co-branded team magnet schedules to be handed out to fans at the game, extensive advertising rights for the designated game and an interactive booth in the Earthquakes Fan Zone.
