Wondolowski to appear on Chronicle Live tonight

Chris Wondolowski will appear on Chronicle Live tonight between 5 and 6 p.m. PT to discuss his recent call up to the US Men's National Team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Fans should tune in on CSN Bay Area to watch the interview.


Wondolowski made his first appearance with the USMNT on January 22, 2011, starting and playing 60 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Chile. He was a member of Bradley's January camp along with Quakes teammate Sam Cronin.


The Danville native is tied for third in MLS with five goals in 10 games so far this season. He also has two assists, including a picturesque cross that found Ellis McLoughlin at the far post on Saturday for San Jose's first goal. In 2010, Wondolowski won the MLS Budweiser Golden Boot award after leading the league with a club record 18 goals.


The Gold Cup will run throughout June with the US squad facing Canada on June 7 in Detroit, Mich., Panama on June 11 in Tampa Bay, Florida and Guadeloupe on June 14 in Kansas City, Kans. Depending on their finish in group play, the Americans could see quarterfinal action on June 18 in New York or June 19 in Washington D.C.
