Monterey County FC United 00B Red midfielder Pierce Gallaway was named the Odwalla Player of the Month for June.
The young talent plays in the Premier Bracket of the NorCal Region II. Through nine games, Gallaway scored 13 goals and notched four assists. He has been with the squad since it formed over two years ago.
Aside from his play with the Monterey County FC, Gallaway competes in tournaments with Almaden FC Mercury 008B Green. Earlier this year, his squad won the Modesto Spring Invitational and he will be playing in the Sporting Invitational as a guest player later this summer.
Gallaway's favorite Earthquakes player is US National Team striker Chris Wondolowski. He is also a fan of Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Pierce is a soccer-passionate person who looks forward to honing his game during a weeklong camp this summer in Sonoma. His other hobbies include surfing, skiing and traveling. Next fall, Gallaway will be a fifth grader at Carmel River School.
