Quakes-Revs match rescheduled for Oct. 8

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that their match against the New England Revolution on Wednesday, Aug. 3 has been moved to Saturday, Oct. 8. The match will kickoff at 4:30 p.m. PT at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. and will be broadcast live on 1220 KDOW and 1370 KZSF. Television information will be released at a later date.

The additional game date in October gives San Jose a total of four matches in the final month of the MLS regular season MLS. The Quakes also hit the road on Oct. 15 to face Seattle Sounders FC and host a pair of matches against Sporting Kansas City on Oct. 1 and FC Dallas on Oct. 22.

The Earthquakes defeated the Revolution 2-1 at Buck Shaw Stadium on May 21 in their first meeting this season. Ellis McLoughlin came off the bench to give San Jose an initial 1-0 lead and Bobby Convey sealed the win with a beautiful bending free kick into the upper corner.
