Fans 050110_JohnTodd

With the California Clasico fast approaching, SJEarthquakes.com wanted to post a brief fan guide for all planning to attend. Here's what to look for this weekend:

The Basics:
LA Galaxy at San Jose Earthquakes presented by Visa
Saturday, June 25 at Buck Shaw Stadium, 3:30 p.m. PT
TV: FOX Soccer
Radio: 1220 KDOW (English), 1370 KZSF (Spanish)
Giveaway Item: 2,500 CD-ROM copies of Interactive Financial Soccer, presented by Visa

Four More Things to Note:

1. For Emphasis: Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. PT
Anybody who purchased tickets for this game before April 30 – Season Ticket Holders beware – should be advised that the game time has been changed to 3:30 p.m. Don't be that guy who shows up at 8 p.m.

2. Arrive Early to Avoid Lines
Last season, Chris Wondolowski scored the game winner against the LA Galaxy in the 4th minute. Avoid missing any early minutes by arriving at least 45 minutes before kickoff. The match is a sellout so there will be long lines to enter the stadium.

3. Epicenter Fan Zone
The stadium gates open at 1:30 p.m. To kill some time, check out the Epicenter Fan Zone. You can find cornhole, foosball, face painting, sign making and a pre-game show featuring Earthquakes TV personality John Shrader and former player Kelly Gray. In addition, gourmet food truck options for Saturday include: El Tonayense (North and South Ends), BBQ Kalbi (North End), Louisiana Territory (South End)

4. Post-Game Gold Cup Viewing Party at Buck Shaw Stadium
The Earthquakes are hosting a CONCACAF Gold Cup viewing party at Buck Shaw Stadium following the match against LA. The final between the US and Mexico kicks off at 6 p.m. so yorder yourself a burger before the final whistle, sit back and relax while watching the action on the stadium videoboard. Note: El Tonayense and BBQ Kalbi will also be on hand for post-game grubbing.
