Tickets for home opener, Stanford Stadium on sale

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that individual game tickets are now on sale for both its home opener and the team’s match at Stanford Stadium against the LA Galaxy.San Jose faces the New England Revolution in the home opener on Saturday, March 10 at Buck Shaw Stadium, while the LA Galaxy game takes place on Saturday, June 30 at Stanford Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at www.sjearthquakes.com, www.tickets.com or by calling 800-225-2277. Individual tickets for the remaining games will go on sale on Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. PT.

The Earthquakes are building off a six-game sellout streak to close out the 2011 campaign. The club’s match at Stanford Stadium drew 41,028 fans on July 2, 2011 to watch a thrilling 2-2 draw against the New York Red Bulls with a firework extravaganza following the final whistle. The 2012 event at Stanford Stadium also promises a large crowd with defending MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy in town.
Beginning in 2012, the club will now utilize a dynamic pricing model to better meet the supply and demand needs of fans. This model does include a price increase of $2 on all tickets, so fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance.
Season tickets for the San Jose Earthquakes’ 2012 campaign are still on sale.
