Jon Busch, Victor Bernardez and Marvin Chavez are each up for weekly Major League Soccer awards, and they need your help, Quakes fans!
Busch is up for Save of the Week: Week 4, for his double save in the 70th minute to help preserve the shutout victory at Seattle Sounders FC on March 31. Off a Seattle free kick from the left sideline, Busch first made a reflex save lunging to his left, of a right-footed flick by Sounders striker Fredy Montero from just outside the six-yard box. He then gathered himself in time to dive again to his left to collect a low, driven shot from outside the penalty area by Zach Scott, as the ball ultimately rebounded out to the defender.
Fan voting closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday, April 5. Click HERE to vote for Buschy.
Meanwhile, Bernardez and Chavez are each among four players up for Latino Player of the Week. Bernardez was again an anchor at center back in Seattle, while Chavez tracked back numerous times to steal the ball and aid his defense, in addition to his stellar offensive display on the wings for the Quakes.
