The San Jose Earthquakes named Menlo Park's Kyle Smith Odwalla Player of the Month for May.
Smith plays U-14s for Menlo Park United. The striker captain's his team and leads his team with 13 goals in four games so far this season. In 2011, Smith helped his team win the Stanford Cup while playing for Alpine Strikers (CYSA). He led Alpine in scoring for the tournament with 16 goals. Goals aren't the only thing the 14-year-old is scoring - he took home the sportsmanship award at a tournament in Pacifica in 2011.
