Steven Lenhart and Steven Beitashour were inspired to do something special for the 2nd Annual A&W Root Beer Float Night.
Their idea: Chug-off!
Lenhart has a history with root beer floats. The curly-haired zen master enters as a heavy favorite after demolishing two root beer floats in the taping of last year's commercial. The one thing standing in the striker's way of chug-off glory: Brain freeze and an upstart defender.
Beitashour is best known for taking home the 2010 Golden Huckerby (FIFA tournament) as well as his stingy defending and pinpoint service. The third-year right back is confident he has what it takes to out-chug Lenny and has undertaken a rigorous training regimen to ensure his victory.

Editor's Note: The chug-off will not occur at A&W Root Beer Float Night. While the frothy beverage is delicious, the players will be busy getting ready to take on Western Conference rival Real Salt Lake. However, we do encourage you to enjoy a root beer float with the Earthquakes and our celebrity scoopers on Saturday, July 14. All proceeds from the event will go to charity.
