Over 100 teams participated in the second Earthquakes 4v4 Tournament presented by Wells Fargo of the summer on June 23 at Cesar Chavez Academy in East Palo Alto.
Seventeen division champions were crowned in groups ranging from Boys and Girls U-9 to adult co-ed and open. San Jose midfielders Sam Garza and Jacob Hustedt were on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos with participants. Additionally, Wells Fargo, 7UP Bottling Company, XFINITY, Soccer Kraze and T-Mobile.
The Earthquakes and Wells Fargo will team up for two more tournaments this summer: Saturday, July 21 at Crocker Amazon Park in San Francisco and Aug. 18 at Alden E. Oliver Sports Park in Hayward, Calif.
Registration is accepted in Boys and Girls U-8 through U-19 divisions, Adult Co-Ed, Men’s and Women’s Rec and Men’s Open, with a maximum of seven players per roster. All participants receive an Earthquakes ticket, event t-shirt and sponsor gifts. Division champions earn a team trophy, with individual medals going to first- and second-place teams.
