On Saturday, July 21 the San Jose Earthquakes hosted their third 4v4 soccer tournament, presented by Wells Fargo, at Crocker Amazon Park in San Francisco. Over 50 teams participated in the tournament from ages 8 to adults.
Earthquakes players Sam Garza and Evan Newton attended the event and signed autographs and posed for photos with participating teams.
The champions on the men’s side were Valeadores in the Men’s Open division, Royals in the Boy’s Under-17 – Under-19 division, Black Magic in Under-14, Mexico Soccer League in Under-12, Legends in Under-10, Legends B02 in Under-9, and SF Mission Chivas 03 in Under-8. On the girl’s side WV Fury 97 White in Girls Under-14, Red Devils Team #2 in Under-13, and AFA Arsenal Storm 026 in Under-10 all won championships.
July 21’s event was the third Earthquakes 4v4 tournament of the year. The next 4 v 4 tournament will take place on Saturday, August 18, at Alden E. Oliver Sports Park in Hayward. Registration is open for men’s and women’s teams online at //www.sjearthquakes.com/community/4v4.
