Wells Fargo Kids Night Out a success

Kids Night Out

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes helped raise $11,750 to allow 1,175 unserved local children attend the club's 2-1 win against FC Dallas on Wednesday, July 18 at Buck Shaw Stadium as part of the Kids Night Out program, presented by Wells Fargo.

Throughout the year, the Earthquakes receive numerous requests from Bay Area organizations that work to improve the lives of underserved children. Through the Kids Night Out program, local organizations and individuals make donations to help these children attend a professional soccer game. This year's participants were treated to a thrilling 2-1 win for San Jose as goals from Marvin Chavez and Alan Gordon propelled the Earthquakes to victory.

Among the organizations who received donated tickets this year were: Pacific Autism Center for Education, Catholic Charities, Boys & Girls Club of Silicon Valley, San Jose Conservation Corps, Community United, City Team and Health Trust Silicon Valley.
