Individual MLS Cup Playoff tickets go on sale Wednesday

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club will begin selling individual tickets to their first home MLS Cup Playoff game on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. PT. Due to high demand during an exclusive Earthquakes Season Ticket Holder pre-sale and special March to the Cup mini-plans, fewer than 2,500 tickets remain for the match.

Prior to the public on-sale date, fans can guarantee their MLS Cup Playoff seat by placing a $50 deposit on 2013 season tickets. That deposit also secures a spot in the club’s new stadium seat selection queue. For more information about season ticket packages, fans can visit www.sjearthquakes.com/newstadium. Individual tickets will be available at www.sjearthquakes.com or by calling 1-800-225-2277 while groups of 10 or more should call the club’s headquarters at 408-556-7700.


In addition to MLS Cup Playoff tickets, the club has also announced that their two remaining regular season home games – Sept. 29 vs. FC Dallas and Oct. 21 vs. LA Galaxy – are officially sold out.


San Jose will host their first MLS Cup Playoff game at Buck Shaw Stadium with the date TBA based on where the Earthquakes finish in the final regular season standings.


The Earthquakes (17-6-6, 57 pts.) lead the Western Conference and Supporters’ Shield standings with five games remaining. The closest pursuer for conference honors is Seattle Sounders FC (13-6-9, 48 pts.) while Sporting Kansas City (16-7-6, 54 pts.) is three points back in the Supporters’ Shield race.


San Jose’s next match is a key fixture in the battle for Western Conference supremacy as the Quakes travel north to take on Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on Saturday, Sept. 22. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. PT on Comcast SportsNet California, 95.3 KRTY and 1370 KZSF.
