SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that they will host the second leg of their Western Conference Semifinal series, presented by Kaiser Permanente, on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at Buck Shaw Stadium. San Jose also unveiled its giveaway item for the match, 8,000 blue wigs and 8,000 “Never Say Die” headbands.

The Earthquakes clinched the club’s second Supporters’ Shield last weekend, guaranteeing home-field advantage throughout the MLS Cup Playoffs. The LA Galaxy and Vancouver Whitecaps FC will play on Thursday, Nov. 1 at The Home Depot Center with the winner advancing to face San Jose in the two-leg Western Conference Semifinal series.

San Jose’s Western Conference Semifinal sold out two weeks ago, but 100 additional tickets have been released for purchase for any fan that places a $50 deposit on 2013 season tickets. That deposit also places fans into a seat selection queue for the club’s new stadium, which is set to open in 2014. The January 2013 seat selection queue is sold out, but fans can still place a deposit to join the club’s February 2013 queue. Western Conference Final tickets are also available at www.sjearthquakes.com or by calling 1-800-225-2277. Groups of 10 or more should call the team’s headquarters at 408-556-7700. That match is scheduled for Nov. 17 or Nov. 18 at Buck Shaw Stadium if the Quakes advance.
