OXNARD, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes wrapped up their Southern California stay with a 4-0 win against the Ventura County Fusion (PDL) on Tuesday at Oxnard Community College.


Sophomore winger Sam Garza tallied twice to lead the way. Dutch trialist Vincent Weijl and center mid Brad Ring accounted for the rest of the scoring while third-year goalkeeper David Bingham played 90 minutes to pick up the clean sheet.


Among the starters for San Jose was Tottenham Hotspur attacker John Bostock. The 21-year-old joined the club in Southern California over the weekend and played the first half in Tuesday's scrimmage.


San Jose is 3-2-0 in preseason play. The club will next travel to Portland for a three-game tournament. The action kicks off on Sunday at 5 p.m. PT against the Portland Timbers. All three games at the Portland Preseason Tournament will be livestreamed on sjearthquakes.com.
