The Quakes Academy U18 team dropped a tough, 4-1 decision to SoCal rival L.A. Galaxy in the opening round of the playoffs Monday night in Frisco, TX. Malek Bashti scored his third goal of the season for the lone San Jose tally.
The Earthquakes will look to rebound Tuesday tonight against the New England Revolution at the FC Dallas Sports Park. Most likely, the young Quakes will need convincing victories both tonight and Thursday against the host Dallas Texans to have any opportunity to advance to Houston for next month’s finals. Tonight’s match will be another late one, kicking off at 9:30 p.m. CT. Thursday's pool play finale is scheduled for 9 a.m. CT.
