SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has acquired allocation money from Toronto FC in exchange for defender Justin Morrow.
Morrow, 26, made 71 appearances during his four seasons with the Earthquakes. He originally joined San Jose as a second-round pick in the 2010 SuperDraft out of Notre Dame. Morrow had two goals and six assists with the Earthquakes. He started for MLS in the 2012 AT&T All-Star Game against Chelsea at PPL Park. Morrow also earned his first United States Men’s National Team cap as a member of the Earthquakes, starting and playing 90 minutes in a scoreless draw against Canada on Jan. 29 at Houston’s BBVA Compass Stadium.
