Cannon, Ramey join the Earthquakes broadcast on KLIV

With Chris Dangerfield and Anthony Passarelli becoming the new faces of the Earthquakes' broadcast on Comcast SportsNet this season, we welcome two new voices to 1590 KLIV radio. Former Earthquakes all-star goalkeeper and Bay Area native, Joe Cannon, will be joining us as color analyst while long-time Earthquakes fan and current sports personality on KNBR, Ted Ramey, will be doing play-by-play.

Cannon played for the Earthquakes from 1999-2002 and 2008-2010. The Los Altos native helped secure the Earthquakes first MLS Cup in 2001 and was named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year while with the club in 2002. He later went on to secure his second Goalkeeper of the Year honor while with the Colorado Rapids in 2004. The MLS veteran played with four different clubs during his tenure - San Jose Earthquakes, Colorado Rapids, LA Galaxy and finally finishing out his career with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in 2013.

Play-by-play commentator, Ted Ramey, is following in his father's footsteps. His dad, Hal Ramey, is a former Earthquakes broadcaster who used to work alongside Chris Dangerfield in the booth. Ramey grew up going to Earthquakes and Clash games as a kid, and he is currently a sports anchor on KNBR.

The duo will make their Earthquakes broadcast debut this Saturday, March 29, when the Earthquakes take on the New England Revolution at Buck Shaw Stadium (TICKETS). Tune into KLIV to hear the pair starting at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and make sure to give these two a follow on Twitter at  @TedRameyMedia and @JoeCannonGK1
