Earthquakes Forward Mark Sherrod Successfully Undergoes Procedure to Repair Torn Meniscus

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes forward Mark Sherrod successfully underwent a procedure to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee on Friday morning. The surgery is expected to sideline the forward for four to eight weeks.


Sherrod, 25, has appeared in 15 games (five starts) during his three-year MLS career, tallying two goals and one assist. He has appeared in six games, making two starts, for San Jose since being acquired from Orlando City SC prior to the 2015 season.
