Earthquakes to Honor Orlando Following Recent Tragic Events

Orlando United - San Jose Earthquakes

SAN JOSE, Calif. –
The San Jose Earthquakes will stand with Orlando City SC to support and honor the city of Orlando, Florida after the recent tragic events over the past week with a series of fundraisers and tributes.
During the Quakes' match against Orlando City SC on Saturday evening, all Quakes players will wear black armbands in memory of the victims and also wear Orlando Pride patches to show support for the LGBTQ community that was targeted in the violence. Additionally, the team will enter the field wearing Orlando Pride shirts.
The Earthquakes and the San Jose Ultras supporters’ group have partnered to raise money for the victims and their families through the OneOrlando Fund. The Ultras will be raffling off more than 50 prizes, including a 50” TCL 4K TV, on Saturday at Golden State Brewery in San Jose and the Earthquakes Community Fund will match every dollar raised.
In addition to that fundraising effort, the Earthquakes will donate one dollar for every ticket used at the team’s Pride Night on Friday, July 8 to charitable organizations, including the OneOrlando Fund, You Can Play, Project MORE and other local San Jose LGBTQ non-profits.
