Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
During the pregame ceremonies, a group of those affected by cancer will form a yellow ribbon on the Avaya Stadium pitch to honor those battling cancer as a young child. Ribbon patches will be featured on players' uniforms & yellow nets will also be used during the match.
Naturalization Ceremony
The Earthquakes will round out National Welcoming Week by hosting a Naturalization Ceremony at Avaya Stadium at 5:40 pm ahead of kickoff vs. Sporting Kansas City. Speakers at the ceremony will include Quakes president Dave Kaval, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo & John Kramar, District Director, U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services.
