SAN JOSE, Calif. – Earthquakes II fell to Timbers2 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif. Timbers2 opened the scoring in the eighth minute from a deflected shot finding the net before Quakes II equalized in the 35th minute from Rodolfo Castro Jr. striking a low pass from Eduardo Blancas into the top left corner. Timbers2 found the game winner from Florián Monzón successfully converting a penalty in the 90th minute.
Earthquakes II will now prepare to travel to face Colorado Rapids 2 on Sunday, June 4. The match will kick off from Dick’s Sporting Goods Park at 2 p.m. PT and will be streamed live on MLSNEXTpro.com.
