SAN JOSE, Calif. – Earthquakes II fell to second-place St Louis CITY2 5-2 on Sunday evening at PayPal Park. Quakes II remain in playoff contention with four games remaining in the regular season.

St Louis CITY2 scored three goals in the first half. The Missouri side continued with their offense in the second half scoring two more before the final half hour mark. Earthquakes II attempted a late comeback in the final minutes with goals from Miles Robinson and Jack Skahan.

Earthquakes II will next travel to play Sporting KC II on Sunday, Aug. 28. Kickoff from Mercy Victory Field is scheduled for 3 p.m. PT and the match will be streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
