Nutrilite Training Facility to Open Friday

Nutrilite Training Facility 2

The San Jose Earthquakes will break in their new Nutrilite Training Facility on Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m. with a brief practice followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Front office staff, members of the San Jose City Council and other local dignitaries and will be on hand for Friday’s grand opening. The $1-million project will allow the Quakes to train closer to Buck Shaw Stadium after practicing at West Valley College and Santa Clara University for the bulk of 2008, 2009 and 2010.

“West Valley College and Santa Clara University have been gracious hosts for the San Jose Earthquakes since the franchise returned in 2008, but we’re all very excited to move into our new home,” said General Manager of Soccer Operations, John Doyle.

The Quakes will host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday at 7 p.m. in MLS regular-season action.
