The San Jose Earthquakes announced today a new partnership with the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) for the 2010 season. The Quakes and CYSA are committed to developing youth soccer and the Earthquakes are making their professional resources available to CYSA to assist in those efforts.

“It is important to have a strong partner like CYSA to help promote soccer in Northern California”, said Earthquakes Executive Vice President David Alioto. “We believe this is another step in growing the sport here in the Northern California and are happy to work together closely with CYSA. Many of the Earthquakes front office staff and their children have played and benefited from playing in CYSA over the years.”

The Earthquakes will host two CYSA nights on the 2010 home schedule; Saturday, May 1st vs. Colorado, and Saturday, September 11th vs. FC Dallas. For these two games, the Earthquakes will provide CYSA members an opportunity to purchase sideline seats at the discounted price of $22.

Also, CYSA members will be acknowledged at Buck Shaw Stadium and at sjearthquakes.com as one of the team’s official partners. The Earthquakes will also honor CYSA championship youth teams and officials during a special pre-game ceremony at both matches.
