Johnson called to Jamaican duty

Ryan Johnson will play for his native Jamaica in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago at 3 p.m. PT. The match will be played at Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, Trinidad.


Wednesday's match will be Johnson's fourth national team cap in 2010. The lanky striker has played in friendlies against Canada, Argentina and South Africa. He scored a goal in the Reggae Boyz 2-1 loss against Argentina on February 10 in Mar del Plata.


So far in 2010, Johnson has notched one goal and four assists while starting 13 of 17 matches. He will rejoin the Quakes for an August 14 home match against the Kansas City Wizards (7 p.m. / BUY TICKETS).
