The Odwalla Youth Soccer Player of the Month for October is Asael Suastegui. Asael plays on the Arsenal team, which is in the top of the U-10 division in La Liga de las Americas.
Asael, who is 10 years old, started playing soccer when he was 4. Asael is a very dynamic player who can play both as a right forward or midfielder. His explosive soccer skills help him create scoring opportunities and he is also very good at passing the ball. Despite his young age he has been able to get the following awards and achievements:
- Top Goal Scorer for the Spring 2009 with Chivas of Oakland
- 1st Place Top Goal Scorer during the Eurosoccer Tournament U8 2009 with Chivas de Oakland
- 1st Place 2010 “For Air Region 282” U10 Tournament in South Lake Tahoe with Cobras
- Champion of “La Copa Verizon” U10 with Arsenal – Top Goal Scorer with 13 goals in 2010
