The San Jose Earthquakes took the first step toward carving out a home of their own on April 30, 2010.

That's when General Manager John Doyle cut the ribbon to officially christen the Quakes latest addition: The Nutrilite Training Facility. Located on Coleman Ave. in San Jose next to the potential new stadium site, the new digs brought smiles to players, coaches and fans alike.

After spending two seasons splitting time between fields at West Valley Community College and Santa Clara University, players and coaches were elated to have a team-specific practice pitch. The hefty expenditure also showed fans that San Jose's brass is committed to finding a permanent home for the franchise.
