Robbie Keane scored his first career MLS goal and Mike Magee added another in the 90th minute to lead the league-leading Galaxy to a win. Ecuadorian forward Edmundo Zura made his Earthquakes debut, subbing on for Khari Stephenson in the 71st minute.
