The San Jose Earthquakes Academy U16 and U18 seasons kick off this weekend at the Nutrilite Traning Facility. The U16 team will face Strikers FC at 2 p.m. PT on Saturday and the Pateadores at 2 p.m. PT on Sunday. The U18 team will face Strikers FC at 11:30 a.m. PT on Saturday and the Pateadores at 11:30 a.m. PT on Sunday.
Last season, the Earthquakes U15/U16 team finished with a 4-4-4 record and tied for fourth place in the Northwest Division of the West Conference. The U17/U18 team finished with a record of 1-4-7 for sixth place in the same division. In the off-season, the U17 team played in the Generation adidas Cup and finished with a record of 2-1-2. The Earthquakes U18 begin this season with several returning players, including goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh who has spent time at the US Residency Program and is currently training with the Earthquakes first team.
